Narcissus - Draft
Narcissus is known as the Greek mythology charector who rejected all romantic advances, eventually falling in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. In my opinion a reflection has the ability to pulling all walks of life into it's light. In the right placement it can question it's own boundries in logic and or create a metaphysical point of view. I built this mirror and stand so the reflection would be interpreted as an image on display. To be concious on what I was photographing infront of me while keeping inmind of exact direction of the sun and how that will interpret with the reflection took sometime to get use too. The relationship between two dictated a lot and I found minimal, bright enviornments that felt somewhat enchanting worked best for what I was drawn too. Each location was like a cover to a new book and the reflection was those short stories revealed inside the frame. The two form a relationship that felt purposeful. Some location were pretty far off the road. I would visit a location and invision the shot then organize the mirror and aim it at what I had inmind and that's how most of the images were made. None of these images are photoshoped in anyway or manipulated. They are intended to be seen how I saw it exactly.
